Paulette earned a bachelor degree in Biomedical Science Research, followed by a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City. In the Blackwell Lab, she is researching proteostasis regulation in C. elegans.
